USA Lacrosse High School Girls' Players of the Week
The USA Lacrosse Players of the Week recognize the most outstanding individual performances in high school girls’ lacrosse in each of the five regions — Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, South, Midwest and West — outlined in our high school coverage. Games are considered from the previous Monday through Sunday.
NORTHEAST
Tess Calabria, St. Anthony’s (N.Y.)
In a battle between two of the country’s elite teams, Tess Calabria raised her already elite level another notch. The North Carolina-bound senior scored five goals and added an assist to lead St. Anthony’s (N.Y.) to a 10-7 victory over New Canaan (Conn.) on April 13. As much as her offensive output in the win was clutch, St. Anthony’s coach Darcy Messina said her impact was felt beyond the box score.
“Throughout the entirety of the game, Tess Calabria epitomized resilience and dedication, from securing shot rebounds to relentless pressure on the ride, she played a complete game,” Messina said. “Her five goals and one assist were not just statistics, but a testament to her relentless work ethic and unwavering commitment to our team.”

MID-ATLANTIC
Kate Levy, McDonogh (Md.)
The Eagles faced a pair of high-level opponents last week, and Levy was one of the stars that shined brightest as McDonogh enjoyed a perfect week. The senior midfielder was most critical on the draw control as the Eagles held off Darien (Conn.), 5-4, in a matchup of two of the most successful high school programs in history. Levy won five draws as McDonogh won 10 of the 13 in the game. She also caused four turnovers to help win more possessions. The win ended Darien’s 25-game winning streak.
Levy, who is committed to play at North Carolina for her mother, Jenny Levy, had four goals and an assist as McDonogh started quickly and never looked back in a 12-7 win over Archbishop Spalding (Md.) in a key IAAM matchup. Between those games, Levy had a hat trick and nine draw controls in a 16-6 win over Mount de Sales (Md.).
Also notable: Maria Bragg, Severna Park (Md.); Sienna Chirieleison, Trinity (Pa.); Tessa DeLuca, Maryvale (Md.); Olivia Hoover, Mt. Hebron (Md.); Martha Oakey, St. Anne’s-Belfield (Va.); Anya Wardle, Summit (N.J.)
