Every Tuesday during the high school lacrosse season, USA Lacrosse updates Regional Top 10 and National Top 25 rankings to reflect the results of the previous week. Below are the Nike/USA Lacrosse High School Boys’ Regional Top 10 updates through games played April 16.

St. Anthony’s (N.Y.) remains atop the Northeast Region, one of seven unbeatens in the Top 10. Just below the Friars saw some upheaval, as Brunswick (Conn.) lost a game, and Fairfield Prep (Conn.) vaulted from unranked to No. 4 with a monumental win over Chaminade (N.Y.). Staples (Conn.) and Bayport-Blue Point (N.Y.), both of whom were ranked nationally last week, move into the region rankings off unbeaten starts.

Loyola-Blakefield (Md.) handed McDonogh (Md.) its first loss of the season and opened the door for a new No. 1 in the Mid-Atlantic Region. It’s Haverford (Pa.), which may come as somewhat of a surprise given its pair of losses, including one to McDonogh. But head-to-head wins are the first factor in rankings, and Haverford also owns wins over two top-four teams in Loyola-Blakefield and Georgetown Prep (Md.) — plus it earned another Top 10 win when it beat Malvern (Pa.). Malvern’s win over a top New Jersey team — Delbarton — keeps them hanging in the Top 10.

Playoff action is starting in the South Region, where Lake Mary (Fla.) reigns at 19-0. The Woodlands (Texas) made the most noise of the week jumping from No. 7 to 4 on the strength of a win over Garden City (N.Y.). A big matchup in Georgia comes up this week with No. 6 Blessed Trinity putting its perfect start on the line against No. 9 Roswell.

The Midwest Region welcomed three new teams to the rankings. Hartland (Mich.) has come on strong, and unbeatens Hilliard Davidson (Ohio) and Rockhurst Jesuit (Kan.) have been dominant all season. Culver Academy (Ind.) is still head and shoulders above the region, while St. Xavier (Ohio) picked up a key win to move up to No. 2.

The West Region’s top five again held up despite a couple losses from St. Ignatius Prep (Calif.) against East Coast teams. Unbeaten Colorado teams Legend and Cherry Creek are giving chase, and Mater Dei (Calif.) is right in the mix. De La Salle (Calif.) and Regis Jesuit (Colo.) ride big wins into the rankings as teams start to wind down their regular seasons.
