Malvern Prep (Pa.) Rises in Nike/USA Lacrosse High School Boys' National Top 25
Impressive season-ending tournament wins by Lawrenceville (N.J.) and McDonogh (Md.) kept them at the top of the latest Nike/USA Lacrosse High School Boys’ National Top 25.
A championship loss by Haverford (Pa.) to Malvern Prep (Pa.) opened the door for movement beyond that top pair, but more than half of the Top 10 won’t be going far after completing their seasons.
Malvern’s win directly created the biggest ranking adjustments. The Friars have played as many crossover games as anyone, which helps in making national comparisons. They finished as strong as ever with a win over a top-three team after a down stretch against tough competition in the middle of the year. That combination lands them squarely in the middle of the Top 25 with Haverford settling behind them, and others moving just a spot here or there.
Bayport-Blue Point (N.Y.) makes its debut in the national rankings after a consistent year that was broken up by just two losses.
