If you're looking for a calming influence on the U.S. women's national team defense, Alice Mercer can deliver that. And if you're looking for someone that can push the envelope and make things happen, Mercer is just fine in that role as well.
She's also a winner — three high school state championships at Century (Md.) High School, two national championships at Maryland, a professional champion and dual gold medals with the U.S. team in 2017 at the World Cup and The World Games.
