USA Lacrosse knows that the most important people in growing our game are the dedicated individuals from coast-to-coast who volunteer as coaches, officials, and administrators with their local youth organization.
USA Lacrosse Youth SERVICE Awards
Our Youth Lacrosse Service Awards are given in four different categories. A fuller explanation of each award is listed below. Nominators are asked to include two recommendation letters of support in addition to the online submission. These letters should feature information or stories reflecting the nominee’s particular strengths, outstanding qualities as a coach, official or administrator, his or her contributions to the game, and how he or she has supported the USA Lacrosse vision.

Award Categories
Youth Coach of the Year – Boys’ & Girls'
Given to an one outstanding youth boys’ coach and one outstanding youth girls' coach who each embody the characteristics of an ideal coach supporting the USA Lacrosse mission and vision, dedicating him or herself to his or her players ,and providing the best possible lacrosse experience for everyone involved.
Outstanding Youth Game Official - Boys' & Girls'
Given to an one boys' youth game official and one girls' youth game official who are each exemplary members of the "third team on the field" and embody the characteristics of an ideal role model, teacher, and mentor. They must support the USA Lacrosse mission and vision and seek to maintain a high quality of experience for all on the field.
Outstanding Contribution to the Youth Game
The youth game's highest honor is given to a USA Lacrosse member who is a long-standing contributor to the youth game and has had a lasting impact by supporting the USA Lacrosse mission and vision. Selected jointly by both Men's and Women's Recognitions Committees.
Emerging Leader Award - Boys' & Girls'
This award honors two young adults (U21) who have given unselfishly of their time and talent to help grow and build lacrosse awareness. These individuals must be USA Lacrosse members who thoroughly embody the mission and vision of USA Lacrosse. He or she is typically a person who has volunteered time while balancing a busy schedule in order to mentor others and give back to the sport.
