St. John's CollegeAngus Lamond, St. John's College class of 1935, was involved in lacrosse as a player and coach. After graduating from Central High School in Washington, D.C., he entered St. John's College and was named three times to the All-America team. During his junior and senior years, St. John's won two national championships. He was considered one of the great all-time defensemen. In 1935, Angus was captain of the American team which toured Canada. Angus' outstanding career in coaching began in 1936 with the United States Naval Academy. He served as assistant coach for 11 years, winning national championships in 1938 and 1946. Angus headed Lamond Contracting until his death in 1964.
