University of MarylandInducted as a truly great player, Uhlfelder was a four-year player at the University of Maryland, where she was a first-team All-American as a senior in 1991 and also selected as the national attacker of the year. Uhlfelder was recognized on the NCAA’s All-Tournament Team in both 1990 and 1991, and selected to the ACC’s 50th Anniversary Team in 2002.
As a member of the U.S. National from Team program 1989-2005, she competed as a member of Team USA at the 1997 and 2001 World Cups, winning gold medals both times. Uhlfelder was recipient of the Beth Allen Award in 2004 as the most outstanding U.S. team player at the US Lacrosse Women’s National Tournament. As a collegiate coach, Uhlfelder served nine years at Stanford University and at the time of her induction, ranked as the winningest coach in Stanford women’s lacrosse history with 84-46 record.
