There's no quit in Liz Hogan and that's why she's a leader on the U.S. national team.

Liz Hogan has been close to her dream before — playing on the training teams leading up to the 2013 and 2017 World Cups — but she never made the final roster. That's ancient history as one of the world's top goaltenders will finally get her chance to shine on the biggest stage in the sport as a member of the U.S. team.

Molly Hendrick didn't grow up in a lacrosse hotbed, but she's held her own at every level.

Philadelphia is one of the traditional hotbeds of women's lacrosse. Lancaster, Pa., is a little over an hour from the Philly suburbs where the sport has thrived for generations, but Amish Country is a relative newcomer to the lacrosse scene. You wouldn't know that from watching Molly Hendrick play even though she didn't pick up a stick until she was 13 years old.

If you want to win championships, you want Megan Douty on your team.

Defenders don't always get the glory, but when you follow Megan Douty's career she's had plenty of triumphant moments. From helping her high school, Rumson-Fair Haven win its first Shore Conference title to national championships in her final two years at Maryland to a pair of gold medals with the U.S. team in the summer of 2017 to the inaugural WPLL championship with the New England Command, Douty simply wins.

A veteran on the U.S. team, Becca Block remains at the top of her game after an outstanding summer in Athletes Unlimited

One of three returnees to the veteran U.S. team defense, Becca Block will be leaned on heavily at this year's world championship. A member of the national team program since 2012, Block is looking for her second gold medal.

Block has played in all three professional lacrosse leagues — UWLX, WPLL and Athletes Unlimited — and was named as the top defender in Athletes Unlimited last season.
